I was Madeline and Jim's neighbor for 15-plus years. Whenever we talked, I always felt her warmth and kindness. She was always interested in what other people were doing. She loved her family very much. She always beamed when she talked about her children and grandchildren. I remember one time she apologized to me because she thought we could hear her tv playing. She needed it to be loud for Jim and her to enjoy. I laughed when she said that and told her "no, I couldn't hear it, and even if I did, it was fine with me. I wanted her to enjoy her shows." She was a sweetie. I missed her when she moved away. She was a good woman and I am honored to have known her. God bless you, Madeline. I know you're having a great time in Heaven. Love you, Colleen

Madeline was my son's kindergarten teacher in 1975. She was such a warm, caring and devoted teacher to all of her students. She always took time to speak with parents and to make them feel that their child was special, as her students were to her. She imparted more than just the curriculum, she modeled kindness and life lessons that helped her students succeed as kind human beings as well as good students. I wish I had the chance to tell her that.

One could not hope for a better kindergarten teacher than Mrs. Link. Her warmth, her skill, her caring and kindness: they made all of her students happy to be going to school and to be learning all sorts of things. Mrs. Link's long service of putting others first surely has earned her a place among the angels.
