The first time my dad took me fishing, I was so excited, but I really had no idea what to do. He patiently casted my line out for me and told me to watch the red and white bobber floating lazily on the surface of the water. No sooner had he walked away from me to cast his own line, my bobber suddenly disappeared under the water. I must have yelled, because he yelled " bring him in!" Not really knowing what he meant, I brought him in the only way I could think of. I turned around and ran into the woods, dragging the poor fish up onto the beach! I think my dad laughed longer and harder than I had ever heard him do. That is one of my most cherished memories that I have of my dad.
