Obituary of Walter Magda JR

Walter S. Magda JR, 71 passed away on Thursday March 25, 2010 at the Mid- State Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary (Chase) Magda. Walter was born in New Haven on March 10, 1939 and was the son of the late Walter S. SR. and Josephine (Puchalski) Magda. He was the owner of M+M Contractors in Cheshire for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Meriden Rod and Gun Club and the N.R.A. Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by a son Walter S. Magda III and his wife Lori of Cheshire and a daughter Teri Bass and her husband Gary of Wallingford a brother Edmond Magda of Hamden and a sister Josephine Richard and her husband Louis of Wallingford. Walter also leaves two granddaughters Caitlynn and Brooklyn. Arrangements- A Memorial Service for Walter will be held on Tuesday March 30 at 10:00 am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
