It was with great sadness that I learned of your father's passing. My mom was down here in PA for Christmas and brought a copy of the Cheshire Herald. Mr. Thomas was an icon to CHS students. I will never forget how he wore his green Dartmouth sport jacket with pride. And, of course, who could forgot all those tootsie rolls he handed out when he subbed. I went on to become a member of the class of 1994 at Dartmouth and we shared a reunion in 1999. He was so proud of the students he touched at CHS and I was always so proud of telling my fellow Green alumni that I knew George Thomas. to this day, I always check the 1934 classnotes section of our alumni magazine to look for news of Mr. Thomas. It wasn't that long ago that I remember a tribute to him in the magazine, noting that he was still teaching at CHS. What wonderful memories I have of your father. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He touched the lives of so so many ....
