Obituary of Marjorie Beard

Marjorie S. Beard, 86, of Cheshire passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Elim Park Baptist Home. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin F. Beard. Marjorie was born, June 21, 1922 in New Haven. She was the daughter of the late Helen (Anthony) and Ernest Stevens. She was employed as a Dietary Aid at Elim Park Baptist Home prior to her retirement. Marjorie was a member of the First Congregational Church in Cheshire, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. Marjorie is survived by her two sons Steven Beard of Berlin, MA and Gary and his wife Lynn (Slade) Beard of Wallingford, a daughter Cheryl Sullivan of Bangor, ME, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to the Staff of Elim Park Baptist Home, VITAS Hospice Care and her many close friends who provided unlimited support. Arrangements- Funeral Services for Marjorie will be held Sunday, January 4, 2009 at The Elim Park Chapel at Elim Park Baptist Home at 3 P.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
