Obituary of Hazen Jones

Cheshire: Hazen H. Jones of Cranberry Lane, Cheshire, died Sunday Morning at Waterbury Hospital after A brief illness. He was the husband of Beulah (Chamberlin) Jones. Mr. Jones was born December 30, 1925 in Princewilliam, New Brunswick, Canada and was the son of the late William E. and Alice (Hood) Jones. He was a project engineer for the Uniroyal Co. of Naugatuck until his retirement in 1997. Mr. Jones graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering He earned his masters degree from the University of Toronto in Business Administration. He was a veteran in the HMCS Navy in Canada. Mr. Jones was a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Naugatuck Valley Genealogy club. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Besides his loving wife, Hazen leaves a son Graeme and his wife Doreen Jones of Southbury Ct , a daughter Leslie (Jones) and her husband Paul Bulmer of Albany ,NYA brother Ernest H. Jones of Frederickton, New Brunswick, Canada. 3 sisters Violet Brewer of Princewilliam,New Brunswick ,Canada. Velma Stairs and Florence Bartlett both of Frederickton, New Brunswick Canada. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews and Grand Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Bertha Jones. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00at the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main St. Cheshire. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
