Obituary of William Finer

Mr. William Harold Finer, 93, of 150 Hilltop Rd., Naugatuck died Saturday May 19, 2007 at the Cook-Willow Health Center in Plymouth. He was the husband of the late Ruth I. (Beckjorden) Finer. Mr. Finer was born in Derby, April 28, 1914, a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Kahoutec) Finer and had been a Naugatuck resident since 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and retired in 1974 from the T.B. Mutrie Trucking Co. after 15 years of service. He leaves two sons, William A. Finer of Las Vegas, NV. and Michael J. Finer of Thomaston; two sisters, Helen Finer and Shirley Goumas both of South. Dennis, Mass.; one grandson, Michael W. Finer of Thomaston. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. with the Rev. Wayne Gollenberg, officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck.
