Obituary of Lillian Busch

Mrs. Lillian B. (Bachmann) Bush, 88, of Cheshire died Thursday June 14, 2007 at the Southington Care Center. She was the widow of William Busch. Lillian was born September 18, 1918 on Staten Island, New York a daughter of the late Charles and Meta Bachmann. Before her marriage she worked in the retail industry in New York City at stores including John Wanamaker and Gimbels after moving to Connecticut she devoted her time to volunteer activities including the Cheshire Garden Club and managing the gift shop at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT. The gift shop was renamed in her honor in 2005. She is survived by a step-son Kenneth Busch of Dayton, TX, 1 granddaughter 4 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her step-son William R. Busch. A private graveside service will be held at Ocean View Cemetery on Staten Island, New York. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
