Obituary of Cecelia Porter
Mrs. Cecelia E.K. (Palmer) Porter, 81, of North Branford, died Monday July 2, 2007 at The Regency House in Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of James A. Porter. Mrs. Porter was born September 28, 1926 in London, England a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Manley) Palmer. She was employed at the Nature Food Centre in Branford from the late 1970s through the 1980s. She was ahead of her time in the knowledge of vitamins and nutrition. Cecelia was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Besides her husband of 63 years she leaves her daughters, Laurre Porter and Corri Boucher, and her husband Edward of Cheshire, her brother, Derek Palmer and his wife Joyce of England and three nephews, Kevin, Neil and Ein who reside in England. A private family burial will be held Thursday in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hamden. Friends may call at the Slater Funeral Home Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
