Obituary of Joseph Zentek

Joseph Zentek, 88, of Higgins Rd. died Friday July 13, 2007 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the proud guardian of his nieces and nephews Paul, Jane, Joan and Michael. Mr. Zentek was born March 13, 1919 in Cheshire the son of the late Paul and Aniela (Jablonski) Zentek. He was the owner and operator of Zentek Farm in Cheshire and was a former member of the Connect Farm Bureau. Besides his nieces and nephews he is survived by two brothers; Stanley and Paul Zentek both of Cheshire; three sisters Mary Galko of Prospect; Helen Petrowski of California; and Louise Curry of Wallingford; and several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Zentek is pre-deceased by his brothers Michael and Frank; and his sisters Stella Behrmann and Anna Cardo.Arrangements A funeral will be held on Tuesday July 17, 2007, 9:15 a.m. from the Slater Funeral Home 242 S. Main St. Cheshire to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 8:30 Tuesday morning until the funeral procession leaves for church.
