Obituary of Ruth Truelove
Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth (Farr) Truelove, 104, of 28 Church Drive, Wolcott, died early Wednesday July 18, 2007 at the Wolcott View Manor. She was the widow of the late Edward W. Truelove. Mrs. Truelove was born in North Walpole, N.H. on Oct. 5, 1902, a daughter of the late Leon G. and Mary (Collins) Farr and had been a Wolcott resident for the past 26 years, moving here from Waterbury. She was a communicant of St. Johns Episcopal Church. Mrs. Truelove was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed watching Jeopardy and playing Scrabble. The family would like to offer their special thanks to Geeta and the staff of Wolcott View Manor for their loving care and kindness show to Ruth during her stay there. She leaves two daughters, Jeanne Ferrari of Wolcott, with whom she made her home and Nancy Kelchner of Bethlehem, PA.; 5 grandchildren, Tom Smith of Waterbury, Linda Barbieri of Prospect, Kristen Hester, of Marrietta, GA., Laurie Tacket of Vincens, Ind.and Larry Kelchner of Hellerstown, PA.; 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, and her best friend of over 65 years, Pauline Wagner of Waterbury. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Larry Ferrari and Lisa Ferrari.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Johns Episcopal Church, 16 Church St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in new Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 70 Central Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
