Obituary of Shayne Earley
Shayne Thomas Earley, a courageous boy of only 9yrs old, passed away on Friday July 20th, 2007, after a 7-year battle with leukodystrophy. Shayne peacefully passed away in his Casco home. Shayne was born in Portland, Maine on November 29th, 1997, the son of Lawrence and Yvette (Grandmaison) Earley. Shayne was predeceased by his soul mate, his twin brother Corey, 8 months ago. By Tammy Cochran Shayne is no longer held back by the constraints of his physical illness as he soars to rejoin his brother in heaven where they will forever be embraced by each other and the Lord. Our hearts will forever ache until the day we are re-united with our precious children. Shaynes hunger for life and his determination to try to heroically beat the odds has taught us so much about whats truly important in life. There is no higher purpose than devoting yourself to the ones that you love. For they in return become the root of your own salvation. Surviving are his loving parents Lawrence and Yvette, his brother Mitchel Earley; his grandparents, Ady and Lucille Grandmaison of Cheshire, CT; several aunts, uncles and cousins. His grandparents, Joseph and Anne Earley, also predeceased Shayne We send our deepest gratitude to all of the angels who touched our lives: the compassionate and loving homecare nurses who came into our lives; community members, friends and family too many to mention but not one to be forgotten; Shaynes physicians and all their staff. We will always remember their kindness and sincere generosity of heart.A funeral mass will be held at 11am Wednesday July 25th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Windham, Maine. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 So. Main St. Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
