Obituary of Arthur Gaudet
Mr. Arthur Roland Gaudet, Sr., 79, of 1804 Florida Blvd., Bradenton, Fla., died unexpectedly early Monday morning July 23, 2007 while visiting in Bethany. He was the husband of Vera (Johnson) Gaudet. Mr. Gaudet was born in Norwich, Oct. 30, 1927, a son of the late Albert and Marie Rose (Paradise) Gaudet, and was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He returned from the service and graduated from Naugatuck High School. He moved from Naugatuck in 1954 to Florida where he made his home. He was the retired owner of Gaudet Heating and Cooling of Bradenton. He was a member of Trailer States Post, American Legion and following his retirement became a volunteer, affiliated with the Manatee County Sheriffs Dept. Besides his wife of almost 58 years, he leaves two sons, Arthur R. Gaudet, Jr. of Sarasota, Fla., and Floyd C. Gaudet of Bradenton; two daughters, Yvette Shirley Chewning of Fredericksburg, Va. and Cheryl Marie Watts of Bradenton; two brothers, Lloyd C. Gaudet of Bradenton and Regis Gaudet of Minneapolis, Minn.; three sisters, Shirley Bernabucci of Hamden, Florida Karg of Beacon Falls, and Alberta Rock of Tampa, Fla.; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephewPrivate funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.. is in charge of arrangements.
