Obituary of Joseph McGrail
Mr. Joseph Christopher McGrail, 82, of 33 Juggernaut Road, Prospect and for the past two years of Waterbury Extended Care in Watertown, died Monday July 30, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease . He was the husband of Marie E. (Parkinson) McGrail. Mr. McGrail was born December 24, 1924 in Waterbury a son of the late John and Hannah (Casey) McGrail. He was educated in local schools and worked as a tool setter for many years at Lux Clock and ended his career at Waterbury Swiss. While at Lux, he was involved with many clubs and held several union positions. He was a Communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves his son, Joseph J. McGrail and his wife Tina of Oakville his daughter, Sharon Rouleau and her husband Mark of Waterbury, three grandchildren Christopher McGrail, Marisa McGrail-Sullivan and Jeffery Rouleau and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Brian J. McGrail and four brothers Francis, William, Thomas and John. Funeral services for Mr. McGrail will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street to the Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Queen of Peace Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
