Obituary of Zennie Runowicz

Zennie S. Runowicz, 83, a resident of Cheshire, CT formerly a longtime resident of Lowell, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 31st in Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, CT. She was born on December 1, 1923 in Lowell a daughter of the late Joseph and the late Aniela (Stefanik) Runowicz and graduated from Lowell High School. Ms. Runowicz worked at the Boot Mills during World War II. Most recently she was employed by the Nashua Tool & Dye Corporation and retired after many years of dedicated service. She is survived by two brothers, Edward Runowicz and his wife Laura of Southington, CT and Henry Runowicz of Dracut; four nieces, Susan Runowicz-Smith and her husband Jw Smith of California, Beverly and Shirley Runowicz both of Dracut, and Donna Cordeau and her husband Thomas of Waterbury, CT; four nephews, Michael Runowicz and his wife Marie of Cheshire, CT, Larry Runowicz and his wife Adrianne of Cormwell, CT, David Runowicz and his wife Donna of Lilburn, GA and Matthew Runowicz and his wife Kelly of Harrington, CT; her good friend, Julie Shabouian of Lowell; twelve grand nieces and grand nephews. She was also the sister of the late Louis Runowicz and the late Angie Mason and the sister-in-law of the late Lillian Runowicz and the late Reginald Mason. Friends may call at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA, on Saturday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Casimir's Scholarship Foundation, 268 Lakeview Avenue, Lowell, MA 01852.
