Obituary of Charlotte Croft
Mrs. Charlotte A. (Sale) Croft, 86, of 38 Evergreen St, Waterbury, died Thursday August 2, 2007 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the wife of Shelley E. Croft. Mrs. Croft was born December 12, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama a daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Oliver) Sale and has been a Waterbury resident for the past 54 years. She was educated in the Catholic Schools of Birmingham, Alabama and was a real estate agent for the Root and Boyd Real Estate Company for several years and had also worked at the Howland-Hughes Department Store. She was a volunteer at Waterbury Hospital for many years and was an avid volunteer with the American Red Cross Local Chapter in Waterbury. She was a member of the Kings Daughters at the Bunker Hill Congregational Church and was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Waterbury.Charlotte was a very outgoing person, who made friends easily and touched many lives. Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves her son, Michael Croft of Rumney, New Hampshire, her grandchildren Michelle, Jimmy and Kristina Croft and a great grandchild, Jordan Hill. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
