Obituary of Ernestine Peircey

Ernestine R. Peircey, 93, formerly of Kelly Rd. in Middlebury, died Sunday at Beacon Brook Health Care in Naugatuck.Ms. Miller was born August 26, 1914 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Arthur and Isabel (Miller) Peircey. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and worked as a secretary at the American Brass Company, AFL-CIO, a local architect and several local attorneys.She was active in the First Baptist Church of Waterbury, the Federated Fellowship of South Congregational Church and the Middlebury Congregational Church.She gave much of her time to the activities of the Waterbury Y.W.C.A and was a former member of the Junior Womens Club of Waterbury. She enjoyed traveling and writing letters. She loved birds and flowers, and she was very creative in arts and crafts.She is survived by a sister-in-law Marjorie ; nephews Curtis and Craig; several cousins and friends. She is pre-deceased by her brothers David and Donald.Arrangements A memorial service will be held on Thursday august 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 70 Central Ave. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
