Obituary of Franklin Haight

Cheshire Franklin P. Haight, 72, of Marion Rd. died Tuesday August 21, 2007 in Westerly, Rhode Island. He was the husband of Kathryn (Coppeto) Haight.Mr. Haight was born September 17, 1934 in Hartford the son of the late Franklin Y. and Helen (Borst) Haight. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown and attended the University of Connecticut and Tunxis Community Colleges. He was a Materials Engineer for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 38 years.Mr. Haight was an avid golfer who loved to travel and spend time at the beach.Besides his wife of 45 years, Mr. Haight is survived by his two daughters Tracey Carolan and her husband Bill of Flower Mound, TX; and Susan Haight of Cheshire; two brothers Col. Barrett Haight of Sullivan Island, SC and Vaughn Haight of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister Donna Daniels of Smithfield, RI; two grandsons Nathan and Justin Carolan of Flower Mound, TX; and many nieces and nephews.Arrangements A funeral mass will beheld on Saturday 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
