Obituary of Eleanor Byrne

Miss Eleanor Theresa Byrne, 79, of 16 Calumet Street, Waterbury, died Tuesday September 11, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital. Miss Byrne was born November 11, 1927 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late William and Julia (Brady) Byrne and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of St. Thomas Grammar School and Leavenworth High School. She was the executive secretary to the Chief Executive Officer at Chase Brass and Copper, retiring after many years of service. She enjoyed listening to local radio talk shows and was an avid reader. She was devoted to her family, especially her mother who had been ill for many years. Miss Byrne was a Communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She leaves her brother, Joseph H. Byrne of Waterbury, with whom she made her home and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Miss Byrne will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street to the Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of her family. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m.
