Obituary of Mabel Wheeler

OAKVILLE- Mrs. Mabel Lillian (Swanson) Wheeler, 94, o 226 Dalton St., Oakville, died Wednesday Oct. 17, 2007 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Lester A. Wheeler. Mrs. Wheeler was born in New Milford, Jan 2, 1913, a daughter of the late Emil and Lillian (Page) Swanson and ad been a resident of Oakville for the pat 65 years, moving here from New Milford. She had attended the Union Congregational Church of Oakville and enjoyed, scrabble, word puzzles and bingo. She leaves 3 sons, Russell E. Wheeler of Holiday, FL, Addison L. Wheeler of Oakville and George E. Wheeler of Wolcott; one daughter, Betty L. Wheeler of Oakville; 9 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Violet M. Graveline and Eleanor K Harris. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 70 Central Ave. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m
