Obituary of Margaret MacCallum
Mrs. Margaret (Wright) MacCallum, 87, of East Mitchell Ave, in Cheshire, died Saturday October 20, 2007 at The Highlands Health Care Center. She was the widow of Robert L. MacCallum. Margaret was born June 25, 1920 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Dwyer) Wright and has been a Cheshire resident since 1999 moving here from Hamden. She was educated in New Haven Schools and was a graduate of Commercial High School, where she was a member of the reunion committee for many years. She was a computer operator at New England Business Forms in Hamden retiring after many years of service. Margaret was a Communicant of St. Bridgets Church. She leaves her sons, Robert L. MacCallum of Phoenix, Arizona, Thomas MacCallum of Wallingford and John MacCallum and his wife Linda of Cheshire, three grandchildren, Jeffrey, John D. and Todd MacCallum and several great grandchildren. Her grandson, Michael J. MacCallum is deceased. Funeral services for Margaret will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main St. Cheshire to St. Bridgets Church 175 Main St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridgets Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for Mass.
