Obituary of Jerome Mackesy

Jerome "Jerry C. Mackesy, 72. of West Hartford, CT died Monday, November 12,2007 at St. Francis Hospital. Jerry was born in Queens, New York, December 23, 1934. He is a graduate of Saint John's Prep and a 1957 graduate of St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York. Jerry worked in Human Resources and retired as Vice President of Risdon Mfg. Co. in Naugatuck, CT. He was involved with both the United Way and the YMCA of Naugatuck. He is survived by is wife, Eleanor Cohen and his children, daughters Jereen Gilbert, her husband Michael and their children, Steven and Jackie of Pleasanton, CA; Christine Kean, her husband Jay and their children, Jake and Eileen of West Hartford, CT, and son, Jerome Mackesy, his wife Heather and their children, Jared and Jack of Londonderry, NH. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and scores of good friends. Jerry is predeceased by his parents, John and Grace Mackesy and his sister Regina McDermott of New Hyde Park, NY. Funeral services will be held at Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Saint Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charitv in Jerrvs name.
