Obituary of Lorriane Buckley
Miss Lorraine Elizabeth Buckley, 79, of 156 Lewis St., Naugatuck, died Saturday Nov. 17, 2007 at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven. Miss Buckley was born in New York City, Sept. 3, 1928, a daughter of the late John Joseph Buckley, Sr. and the late, Henrietta (Fig) Buckley and had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 35 years, moving here from California, where she had lived for over 22 years. She was a graduate of the Bellville Hospital School of Nursing and received an Associates in Science Degree from Matt5atuck Community College. She received her B.S. and Masters in Nursing from Antioch University of Los Angelus, Cal. She retired in 1994 from the State of Conn. Dept of Mental Health, where she had worked as a Psychiatric Nurse for over 13 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the Conn. Nurses Assoc. She leaves one aunt, Ruth Burns of New York City; one nephew, John W. Buckley of Naugatuck; 3 nieces , Barbara A. Wagner of Naugatuck, Karen I. Conception of Middlebury, and Laura L. Lockhart of Abington, PA; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews, Karen, Sara and Jessica Buckley; Colton, Austin and Justin Wagner; Jason, John and Adam Lockhart; and Myra, and Sophia Conception. She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Clair Buckley and a brother, John J. Buckley Jr. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
