Obituary of Raymond Stewart

Raymond C. Stewart Sr., 85, formerly of Mountain Rd. passed away Monday November 26, 2007. He was the husband of the late Mary (Fruin) Stewart. Mr. Stewart was born June 8, 1922 in Waterbury the son of the late Noel and Arvella (Parmalee) Stewart. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. stewart was a long time Cheshire resident who had spent over 30 years in the automotive business. He was co-owner of Genes tans Stewart Motors in Cheshire. He worked at Dowling ford until his retirement in 1992. He was a communicant of the Church of the Epiphany. Mr. Stewart is survived by his son Raymond Jr. and his wife Chris of Cheshire; a daughter Susan Richardson and her husband R. Donald of Cheshire; a sister Marion Fillapone of Oakville; and six grandchildren.Arrangements A funeral will be held on Friday 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
