Obituary of Bessie Mellon

Waterbury- Bessie Mae Mellon, 75 , Formerly of Frost Rd died Saturday November 30, 2007 at Cedar Lane Health Care after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Henry J.Mellon Jr.Bessie was born July 13,1932 in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Mervin and Edith (Barnes)Hotchkiss.She worked as a waitress for various restaurants also worked for the first Friendlys Restaurant in Connecticut .Bessie enjoyed traveling and was in a bowling leage,And was a long time Wolcott resident.She is survived by 1 son Steven Mellon of Oakville,2 Daughters Karen Mellon of Knoxville,Tennese and Marianne Marone of largo,Florida. 2 sisters Doris Borzino and Edith Hotchkiss both of Waterbury. Also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by1 Daughter Linda Mellon and 2 sisters Harriett Riviera and Betty Grenier. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday December 6 2007 in Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church 13 Wolcott St.Waterbury at 10:00 A.M. Calling hour will be in the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 70 Central Ave from 8:30 to 9:30 Thursday morning .Burial will be in New St.Josephs Cemetery Waterbury.
