Obituary of Fred Mullaney
Cheshire Fred Mullaney, 88, of Notch Rd. passed away Wednesday December 5, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Doris (Barrow) Mullaney.Mr. Mullaney was born July 20, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Frederick and Anna (Spallholz) Mullaney Sr. Mr. Mullaney was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army 71st division 14th Infantry C.O.B. in Europe. Mr. Mullaney was a member of the Cheshire Police Department for 22 years serving as a Supernumerary. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and the Masonic Temple Lodge No. 16 A.F. and A.M. in Cheshire. He worked at Cheshire Lumber until his retirement in 1982.Besides his wife of 62 years, Mr. Mullaney is survived by his daughters Joan Anderson and her husband James of Cheshire and Ann Piekarski and her husband David of Cheshire and Patricia Marshall and her husband Jeff of Southbury; five grandchildren James Anderson Jr. and his wife Colleen, Scott Anderson, Kristen Addicks and her husband John, Luke Marshall and Jessica Marshall; and two great grandsons Gavin and Evan Anderson. Arrangements - A funeral will be held on Monday December 10, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home 242 S. Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery.
