Obituary of Helen Taber

Miss Helen C. Taber, 92, of Waterbury died Thursday December 6, 2007 at the Abbott Terrace Health Center.Helen was born October 8, 1915 in Fairhaven, MA, a daughter of the late Jonathon and Irene (Pease) Taber, Jr. and has lived in Waterbury since 1955. She was educated in Fairhaven and New Bedford Schools. She was a member of the South Waterbury Seniors and was a member of South Congregational Church where she was a member of the Womens Association.She leaves her sister Catherine L. Brown of Waterbury, her nieces, Marjorie Horzepa of Waterbury, Catherine Pond of New Milford and Edith Nealeigh of Torrance, CA. and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Frances Davis and Elizabeth Brown.A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at South Congregational Church in Waterbury. A gathering for family and friends will be held following the service in the Church Hall. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery in Fairhaven, MA. There are no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to South Congregational Church 160 Piedmont Street Waterbury, CT. 06706. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 70 Central Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
