Obituary of Jean Salvatore

Cheshire Jean A. Salvatore, 76, formerly of West Main St., passed away Tuesday at Masonicare of Wallingford. She was the wife of James A. Salvatore.Mrs. Salvatore was born November 24, 1931 in Sterling, CT the daughter of the late Bert and Vivian (Wachtelhausen) Dorr. She was a long time Cheshire resident who spent her winters with her husband in Port Charlotte, FL. She loved the beach, ocean, biking and walking.Mrs. Salvatore is survived by her son James of Middletown; her daughter Robin Schlander and her husband John of Farmington; a brother Bert Dorr of Meriden; her grandson Michael of Middletown; a niece and several nephews.Arrangements A funeral will be held on Friday December 14, 2007 10:00 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
