Obituary of Donald Gode

CHESHIRE- Donald "David" Gode, 58, of Cheshire, passed away Wednesday Jan. 25, 2012 at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Williams) Gode. Mr. Gode was born in Southington, Mar. 19, 1953, a son of Donald Gode and the late Judith (Buechele) Gode. He was a graduate of Nuremberg American High School in Nuremberg, Germany. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed at Duracore Radiator of Prospect. Besides his father of Cheshire and his wife of 36 years, he leaves his children, Brian E. Gode of Terryville, Kelly M. Brown of Bristol, Jennifer A. Levesque of Germany and Kevin S. Gode of Cheshire; one brother Ken Gode of Prospect; 3 sisters, Jean McSweet of Cheshire, Peggy Malmberg of Gaylordsville, and Barbara Wiles of Cheshire and 8 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Peter Gode. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. Burial will be in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech.
