Obituary of Beeton Cobb

Cheshire Beeton Ty Cobb, 87, of Paul Ney Rd. passed away Thursday December 13, 2007 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Lorraine (Bailly) Cobb.Mr. Cobb was born October 1, 1920 in Waterbury the son of the late Lewis F. and Dorothy (Lauder) Cobb. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in China, Burma, India. Mr. Cobb was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire. He was a salesman for C.A. Templeton, Scovil Manufacturing, and Stanley Works until his retirement in 1980. He was a founding member of the Cheshire Rifle Club and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. In his spare time he enjoyed fly fishing.Besides his wife of 48 years, Mr. Cobb is survived by his son Chric and his wife Donna of Cheshire; a daughter Carolyn Warren of Morrill, Maine; a daughter-in-law Sylvia Cobb of Albion, Maine; a grandchild; and two great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Stillman and his sister Joyce.Arrangements A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr., Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
