Obituary of Jean Rebman

WATERBURY- Mrs. Jean Calli (Gilbert) Rebman, 81, formerly of 279 Oakville Ave, Waterbury, died Tuesday evening Dec. 18, 2007, at the Watertown Convalarium in Watertown. She was the widow of Robert G. Rebman. Mrs. Rebman was born in Waterbury, Sept. 25, 1926, the youngest daughter of 10 children of the late Frederick and Harriet (Mead) Gilbert and had been a resident of Watertown-Oakville for most of her life. She was educated in the local school system and was a former employee of Diversified Medical, retiring in 1988. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Oakville and had been a former scout mother of Troop # 52 Boy Scouts of America and a former member of the Watertown Grange. She leaves 3 sons, James D. Rebman of Thomaston, Allen J. Rebman of Watertown, and Paul R. Rebman of Waterbury; 2 twin brothers, Richard and Russell Gilbert both of Watertown. She was predeceased by a son Peter G. Rebman and 7 of her brothers and sisters and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held on Friday Dec. 28th at 10 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 262 Main St., Oakville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 70 Central Ave. is assisting with arrangements.
