Obituary of Ruth Tallaksen

CHESHIRE, CT- Ruth Evelyn (Hallan) Tallaksen, 84, died quietly Thursday morning Dec. 20,2007, at the Mid State Medical Center in Meriden Connecticut. Her children were by her side. Ruths late husband, Norman, died this past July from Parkinsons. They were living at Elim Park in Cheshire Connecticut.Ruth was born April 1, 1923 in Drammen, Norway a daughter of the late Oscar Bernard Hallan and the late Helen (Foreid) Hallan, Ruth was an amazing cook and had a great love for her gardens.She has six children, Steven Tallaksen, who died at age 10, Douglas Tallaksen who lives in Natick Massachusetts, David Tallaksen who lives in Chicago, Illinois, Gary Tallaksen who lives in Topsfield Massachusetts, Linda Saint who lives in Ashaway Rhode Island and youngest child, Alan Tallaksen, who lives in Mohegan Lake, New York. Ruth is survived by one sister, Dorothy Mueller who resides in Clearwater Florida. She had 10 grandchildren and one great grand child, Ella Rose Saint...A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Elim Park Chapel. There are no calling hours.
