Obituary of Alice Protasevich
Mrs. Alice (Hummel) Protasevich, 77, of Middlebury died Saturday December 29, 2007 at her home. She was the widow of Stephan Protasevich, Jr. Alice was born October 10, 1930 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Albert and Anne (Lynch) Hummel and has been a Middlebury resident since 1982. She attended Waterbury Schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School and the New Britain Teachers College which is now Central Connecticut State University. Prior to her retirement, she was a teacher in the City of Waterbury, having taught at Webster School for many years. Mrs. Protasevich was a Communicant of St. John of the Cross Church. She leaves her daughters, Tami Connoy and her husband Michael of Southington, Barbara Skelly and her husband Paul and Betsy Anderson and her husband Paul both of Middlebury, her sister Jane Layman of Indiana and her grandchildren, Stephen, Mark and Maura Connoy and Rachel and Lauren Anderson. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Haggerty. Funeral services for Alice will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street, Waterbury to St. John of the Cross Church, Middlebury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
