Obituary of Linda MacCallum

Cheshire Linda F. MacCallum, 58, of Corliss Lane passed away Monday January 14, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of John MacCallum. Mrs. MacCallum was born November 3, 1949 in New Haven the daughter of Teresa (Civitelli) Funaro and the late John Funaro. She was a communicant of St. Bridget Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a fourth grade CCD teacher who cherished all of the special moments she shared with all of her children. Mrs. MacCallum was a kind and compassionate person who valued her family and was a loyal friend. She was an Optical assistant for West Village Optician in Westville as well as the owner of Comfort Specialists of Cheshire and MJM Investments. Besides her husband of 36 years, Mrs. MacCallum is survived by her loving son John D. MacCallum of North Haven, two sisters Donna Funaro of Cheshire and Kathy ODonnell and her husband Gerald of Cheshire; her brother-in-laws Robert MacCallum of Arizona and Thomas MacCallum of Wallingford; two nieces Kaitlyn ODonnell and Megan Funaro; two nephews Jeffrey and Todd MacCallum; and several cousins and friends. Mrs. MacCallum is predeceased by her beloved son Michael MacCallum, her cousins Robert Funaro and Carl John Costa with whom she was close to. Arrangements Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday January 19, 2008, 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. Cheshire to St. Bridget Church for mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
