Obituary of Edward Bredickas

Mr. Edward G. Bredickas, 92, of Cheshire died Wednesday January 23, 2008 at the Arden House in Hamden. He was the husband of Leona (Thomas) Bredickas.Mr. Bredickas was born December 4, 1915 in Shenandoah, Pa., a son of the late George and Victoria (Zmudin) Bredickas and has been a Cheshire resident since 1955. He was educated in Shenandoah schools and was a Plumber and Pipe fitter for the Plumber and Pipe fitters Union Local 777 retiring in 1983 after many years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener and reader.Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Edward Bredickas of Cheshire, his daughter Phyllis Sargolini of Hamden, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Joan Bredickas, his brother Victor Bredickas and his sister Bertha Wilhelm.Funeral services for Mr. Bredickas will be held Monday January 28 at 10 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main Street in Cheshire. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park in Hamden. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
