Obituary of Earl Glass
Earl Russell Glass, 73, of 71 Osborn Rd., Naugatuck, died Thursday Jan. 24, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital, Waterbury. He was the husband of Theresa (Borusiewicz) Glass. Mr. Glass was born in Waterbury, Oct. 23, 1934, a son of the late George Glass and Ruth (Fink) (Glass) Pearson and was raised in Naugatuck, moving to Waterbury and then returning to Naugatuck a number of years ago. He retired in 2001 from the Lewis Engineering Co. and had previously worked for Roberts Plating and Donham Craft, all of Naugatuck. He was a Marine Corps. veteran of the Korean War. and a member of Crusader Post # 1946, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Besides his wife of 19 years, he leaves one son, Earl Rusty Glass and his wife Joann of Bridgewater; one daughter Joan William and her husband Tim of Kent; his step-children, Elaine Noseworthy of Ohio, and Robert Hall of Waterbury; one step-sister, Jean Glass of Kinston, N.Y.; and 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council will meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 6:15 p.m. A graveside service with Military honors will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
