Obituary of Sylvia Wolff
SOUTHBURY- Mrs. Sylvia (Atlas) Wolff, 90, of Heritage Village, Southbury, died Wednesday Jan. 30, 2008, at her home. She was the widow of Nathaniel Wolff. Mrs. Wolff was born in New York City, Jan. 1, 1918, a daughter of the late, Samuel and Rose (Sadowsky) Atlas and had been a resident of Southbury since 1981 having formerly lived in Middlebury for many years. She along with her husband were co-owners of Wolffs Draperies, which was in business in Waterbury, under their direction for over 33 years, until their retirement in 1981. She was a member of Beth El Synagogue of Southbury. She leaves her two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Hank Hofbauer of Cheshire, and Ellen and Rob Hyner of Avon; one sister, Mildred Langsam of Tamarack, Fla.; 4 grandchildren, Wendy Opin and her husband Eric, Lisa Lipman and her husband Andy and Matthew and Alex Hyner; 4 great-grandchildren, Adam Opin, Lauren Opin, Olivia Lipman, and Sadie Lipman. Private funeral services will be held on Friday February 1, 2008 with a graveside service in Beth El Cemetery, Waterbury.
