Obituary of Edward Wilson
Cheshire Edward S. Wilson, 81, of Cheshire, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial in Southington. He was the husband of Norma A. (Bonaldo) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was born August 20, 1926 in Lynn, MA, the son of the late Edward W. and Charlotte (Keogh) Wilson. He was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the Pacific and was a long time Cheshire resident, having previously lived in East Haven. Mr. Wilson was employed by A.B. Hendryx Co. in New Haven, rising over 20 years from the position of electrician to plant manager before moving on to the Anchor Fastener Div. of Buell Industries in Waterbury. He retired as Corporate Vice President of Operations, at Buell Industries in 1984. He enjoyed traveling, collecting books on U.S. Presidents, gardening, and attending Yale football games. He derived great pleasure from his weekly Sunday dinners with the entire family, especially his three grandchildren, and more recently, his great grandson. Besides his wife of 58 years, Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, Edward J. Wilson and his wife Diane of Hamden; a brother James Wilson and his wife Katherine of Wallingford; four sisters Charlotte Langlois of Hamden, Ella Healy of Hamden, Martha Natale of Hamden, and Rita Richard and her husband Neil of Cape Coral, FL; three grandchildren Edward A. Wilson (with Myla Farmer) of Hamden, Brendan J. Wilson, and Joanna M. Wilson both of Hamden; and a great grandson, Edward V. Wilson. He was predeceased by his sister Cirilla Kowalski. Arrangements Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 12 p.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire.
