Obituary of Raisa Trubkina

Cheshire Raisa Trubkina, 89, formerly of E. Mitchell Ave. passed away Friday evening February 8, 2008 at Highland Health Care in Cheshire. She was the widow of Moshe Trubkin. Mrs. Trubkina was born September 2, 1918 in Chashniky, Belarus the daughter of the late David and Deborah Aurbach. She was a WWII veteran of the Soviet Army and was a survivor of the Leningrad Blockade during that time. She obtained her law degree and was a corporate lawyer. In 1991 she moved to the U.S. and obtained her citizenship in 1997. Mrs. Trubkina is survived by her two daughters Veronika Bursuker and Yanna Kosover both of Cheshire; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Temple Beth David of Cheshire, 3 Main St. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery/Temple Beth David Section. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. is in charge of arrangements. Shiva was observed on Monday February 11, 2008.
