Obituary of Hedwig Mueller

Hedwig Mueller (Hedy) age 79 of Cheshire, CT, formerly of Glendale, Queens, NY passed peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, February 7th, 2008. Hedy was born in Vienna, Austria, on July 25th, 1928. She would endure growing up in an orphanage, and survive through war torn Europe during World War 2, before marrying Henry Mueller and immigrating to the United States. Living on Margaret Place in Glendale, for most of her life, Hedy served at the NYC Board of Education as a School Aide. She worked at P.S. 113 before transferring to P.S. 87 where she would later retire. She was a Classy Lady with wit, and would love to cook and entertain. Hedy dedicated her life to her friends and family and walked the path of helping others. She will be greatly missed by all whom she loved. Derived from her early experience in life, Hedy would continuously instill the importance of family, the helping of others, and the worthlessness of war to all she would encounter. In addition to these values, Hedy leaves behind her husband of over 50 years, Henry Mueller, three sons, Peter, Ronald, and Eric, three daughters-in-law, Terri, Katie, and Jackie, and 6 grandchildren, Robert, Erin, Sean, Daniel, Matthew, and Thomas.
