I have many great memories of both Gene and Mary, having grown up under their ministry in Valley City, ND. Gene and Mary's death leaves a great hole in the cosmos.

We both will miss Gene. Serving as Minister of Music at First Congregational Church, I had the pleasure of knowing and working with this saint of a man. John

Rev Eugene was a great minister. I remember him, but in the late 70's I attended United Church in Beacon Falls and was lead a great life and also was a blue bird and a girl scout at that church

To the friends and family of Rev. Eugene Mc Alister, As a young man growing up in Beacon Falls, 3 things were a large part of my life and my week. These were my family, my school and my 2nd family at the United Church of Church. I feel very privileged to have had Eugene and Mary as my guides in my early faith journey, and I do say Eugene and Mary as they were one of the last great traditional pastoral teams. So many of the ingrained foundations of my faith, which have sustained me thru my life where learned from the Mc Alister's , either by lesson or by their example of grace, humor and great kindness. Thank you Eugene and Mary. Rest Well Good and Faithful Servant, Yours in Christ David R. Messner
