Obituary of Lorraine Boiano

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Lorraine Kathleen (Leonetti) Boiano, 82, formerly of Bradley St. Naugatuck, died Sunday Feb. 24, 2008 at the Danbury Hospital. She is the wife of Ralph A. Boiano.Mrs. Boiano was born in Bridgeport, Jan. 9, 1926, a daughter of the late Frank and Lucille (Ambrose) Leonetti and was educated in the Bridgeport school system and a graduate of Warren F. Harding Highs School. She had been a Naugatuck resident since, 1991, moving here from Bridgeport. She was a retired employee of the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls retiring in 1991 with over 10 years of service and was previously employed by the United Way of Bridgeport for over 30 years. Se was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of the Naugatuck Womens Club.Besides her husband of 61 years, she leaves two daughters, Nancy Blanchard of Danbury and Cheryl Mielniczek of Naugatuck; two sisters, Dolores Lake of Norwalk and Bette Spinelli of Fort Lauderdale, Fl.; 3 grandchildren, Scott Blanchard, Alicia Mielniczek and Jessica Mielniczek and several nieces and nephews.Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. to S. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
