Please accept my condolences on the loss of your dear Joyce. I am a friend from Devon, grammar school and high school vintage. I had not seen Joyce for several years, but had occasion to bump into her a few years ago in Milford at a mall, and found her to be the same warm, caring, friendly and light hearted person that I knew many years ago. Withiin a few minutes, she got me up to speed on her life, her husband, her kids, her sisters, and her mother, and all of the wonderful things going on in their lives. A very special person, so sad for your loss.

My sincerest condolences to Joyce's family. We enjoyed many baseball games together at CHS. I can still hear Joyce saying 'A little poke' to the hitters. She had a lot of spirit! May you all find peace and comfort in the love she shared with you. Sincerely, Melinda and Jim Van Der Beek

Nick and family, Agnes, Diane and Mary....... Both Jack and I are in total shock. We had no idea that Joyce was ill. We are presently in the process of having a home built in N.C. and we will not be able to attend the funeral or wake. We would be there if we were able. Please just pretend that this note has the Biggest Hug and all our Love attached to it for all of you. Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to you and you all are in our thoughts and prayers Love, Pat and Jack

Dear Nick, We are very sorry at the loss of your wife Joyce. It is always difficult to lose a loved one after a long illness or of old age but it is especially difficult when it is so sudden. You and your family are in our prayers during this difficult time of mourning. We pray that God will show his love for you and your family at this time. Try to remember that Joyce is walking with her Lord and forever in his loving embrace and that she is preparing a place in his presence for her loved ones. God's grace, love and compassion to you and your family. Love, Tracey and Mark

My Dearest Friend Kristen, I was shocked and saddened by the death of your mother. I never expected that one of us would be losing a parent so early in our adulthood. I’m so sorry that this unexpected tragedy blindsided you at a time when you have found so much happiness in your life. I can only hope that the happiness you have in Vermont with Sean will help you cope with this great loss. I am so fortunate to have met your Mom during a college break and my first visit to Connecticut. She was so kind and welcoming, making me feel very comfortable in your home. I also remember all the goodies she used to send back to us after your school breaks and all the times she helped you out (after a little lecturing) during some of our youthful naive choices. I know she was a rock in your life and you love her dearly. I also know her love for you is tremendous and she will always be in your heart. I know it was through her love that you became the loving, caring and wonderful woman you are today. That her love for you allowed you to spread that love to the people you have encountered in life – making all our lives a little brighter. I will always be thankful to her for giving me such a dear friend. You have always been a very loyal friend and the friendships you have sustained will be there to help pull you through this difficult time. Kristen you are a stellar woman – your strength, optimism and love of life will help guide you through this tragedy. I will always be here, night or day to help you grieve this loss and I want you to call me when you need someone to talk to. I will be here to listen, cry with you and help you see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. A mother's legacy lives on through her children and I know you will carry on your mother’s life with great love and reverence. I Love You Dearly My Sista, Colleen
