Obituary of Bertha Durocher

Bertha A. Durocher, 91, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of the late Louis N. Durocher. Bertha was born on November 2, 1916 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late William M. Allen. Bertha worked along with her husband for the former Valley Buffing Co. She enjoyed gardening and playing poker. She was a fan of theWomen's Huskies basketball team. She is survived by two sons, Louis E. and his wife, Diane Durocher of Hamden and Lawrence and his wife, Linda Durocher of Woodbury. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Jean Durocher and Dolores Pesino, and a sister, Anne Hawley. Funeral Services for Bertha will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury to St. Michaels Church, 62 Saint Michael Drive, Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
