Obituary of Arleen Sullivan

Arleen M. Sullivan, 79, of 38 Neuman St., Naugatuck, died Wednesday evening Mar. 26, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital. Ms. Sullivan was born in Waterbury, June 5, 1928, a daughter of the late James J. and Anna M. (Dolan) Sullivan and was a life long resident of Naugatuck. She was educated in the local schools system and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She was also a graduate of Stone Academy. She was a retired employee of the Borough of Naugatuck, having worked at the Town Hall for over 20 years retiring from the Controllers office in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a member of Emblem Club and the Naugatuck Historical Society. She was also a member of the Lake Club at Lake Quassapaug. She leaves a sister, Ann Marie Yacek of Wellesley, Mass. and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret S. Feeley, and Marion S. Hennessey and her brothers, William D. Sullivan, John W. Sullivan, and James Sullivan. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
