Obituary of Louise McGuire

Naugatuck Louise McGuire, 97, formerly of Bingham St. passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Glendale Health Care Center. She was the widow of Joseph McGuire.Mrs. McGuire was born November 7, 1910 in Williamsport, PA the daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (Blair) Lachemayer. She relocated to Naugatuck as a teenager and was employed for many years as an inspector for U.S. Rubber in Naugatuck. It was at U.S. Rubber where she met Joseph McGuire, to whom she was subsequently married. She was a long time Naugatuck resident and member of the United Methodist Church, active in many of the ministries there.Mrs. McGuire is survived by her sisters-in-law, Irene Lachemayer of New Jersey and Rose Ann Ciarlone of Waterbury and nieces and nephews, Diane Lachemayer, Susan MacDonald, Patricia Cacace, Donald Williamson and William Williamson. Arrangements A Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Saturday April 19, 2008 at 11a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 214 Meadow St. Burial was in St. James Cemetery. There were no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church or an organization of the donors choice. The Alderson funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements.
