Obituary of Elizabeth Floyd

Cheshire Elizabeth Betty Floyd, 76, formerly of George Ave. passed away Saturday May 31, 2008 at Elim Park. Ms. Floyd was born June 1, 1931 in Norwich the daughter of the late Edwin B. and Katherine (Jensen) Floyd. She was a long time Cheshire resident who belonged to the Cheshire Historical Society, the Cheshire Land Trust and the Friends of the Library. She was a member of the Cheshire United Methodist Church; the First Congregational Church of Guilford and the First Congregational Church of Cheshire where she was the Director of Christian Education. Ms. Floyd is survived by her brother Alfred E. Floyd and his wife Debbie of Killingworth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Culver J. Floyd and her sister Marjorie Floyd Bishop. Arrangements - A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheshire United Methodist Church, 205 Academy Road, Cheshire, CT 06410. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is in charge of arrangements.
