Please accept our condolences at the loss of George. His legacy lives on at Lakehurst in various forms; it might be the oil painting he painted and hung over the fireplace in Whispering Pines, the cellar stairs in Coveside, the doors hung in the Boat House, the signs that he crafted for the individual cottage names, but most of all the wooden boards of the fish drawn on them with the date, size and kind of fish he caught in Lake Pemaquid. We are thinking of all of you and realize what a special person George was to all of us at Lakehurst including many of our campers who had the opportunity to meet, chat and fish with him. Let us know when any of you may be in the area and feel free to drop in for a visit to George and Vivien's previous stomping grounds. We will be awaiting notification of the burial.
