Obituary of Shirley Sobolewski
Cheshire Shirley S. (Sledzianowski) Sobolewski, 65, of Mixville Rd., passed away Saturday July 19, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital. She was the wife of Lawrence Sobolewski. Mrs. Sobolewski was born October 19, 1942 in Derby, the daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Kotak) Sledzianowski. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School and Quinnipiac College. She had a love for sewing and opened the Fabric Gallery in Cheshire, which she operated for the past 25 years. She also enjoyed decorating, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a communicant of Church of the Epiphany. Besides her husband of 44 years, Mrs. Sobolewski is survived by her two sons David and his wife Jamie of Marlboro, NJ and Matthew and his wife of Cari of Chester Springs, PA; a daughter Amy Millimet and her husband Zachary of Alexandria, VA; a sister Carol DePalma and her husband George of Oxford and six grandchildren Connor, Brooke, Liam, Riley, Molly and Gavin. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2008 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home 242 S. Main St. Cheshire to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
