Obituary of Henry Ladd

Cheshire Henry L. Ladd Jr., 86, loving husband of Mary (Turek) Ladd, passed away Tuesday July 29, 2008, at Waterbury Hospital. Mr. Ladd was born August 2, 1921 in Bridgeport the son of the late Henry and Louise (Harfst) Ladd. He was a WWII Air Force veteran serving in Iceland. He was a graduate from Lyman Hall in Wallingford. He was a long time Cheshire resident who retired from S.N.E.T. in 1982 after 36 years of service. Besides his wife of 58 years, Mr. Ladd is survived by his son David and his wife Joan of Myrtle Beach, SC; two loving grandchildren Stacey Bravo and her husband Romel of Bethel and David J. Ladd and his partner Renee Czaplicki of Torrington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements Funeral service will be held on Friday August 1, 2008 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
